SOAItalia: We know you started out modelling like your older sister, it doesn’t surprise us, you are beautiful, are you still modelling?Kristen Renton: Thank you! I do still model on occasion, yet it is not my main focus.SOAItalia: Do you prefere acting or modelling or do you like them both the same?Kristen Renton: I prefer acting. I enjoy evoking emotion from the audience…whether it is laughter, sadness, anger or fear, it is a wonderful feeling to be able to take someone on an incredible journey….SOAItalia: On your facebook page, we’ve noticed you are very active for animal rights, do you have any pets?Kristen Renton: YES! I have one dog, a boxer bullmastiff Roxy and one cat, a mainecoon named Minnie. I also foster quite a bit, so at any given time I could have other dogs or cats in my house!SOAItalia: In your career you acted in many Tv shows, is there a character that you like more than others? And if yes, why?Kristen Renton: They are all so different, I could never pick just one! BUT, if I had to, I would say IMA. She is feisty, she takes what she wants and makes no excuses for it, and she is sexually liberal….that abrasive mentality is so far removed from my personal mentality and reality, its fun to play that type of character.SOAItalia: How did you get the role as Ima in Sons of Anarchy?Kristen Renton: I auditioned for the role of IMA on Sons of Anarchy, and I thankfully Kurt Sutter and the producers saw Ima in me. I completely take that as a compliment!SOAItalia: Which are the aspects of Ima that you like and the ones you dislike?Kristen Renton: There is nothing about Ima that I dislike. She is rude, disrespectful, slutty, obnoxious and basically a back-stabbing bitch, but that is what makes her such a force of nature, and so memorable. You either love her or hate her, but which ever it is, you do it with passion!!SOAItalia: All SOA fans love and worship Mr Sutter, please tell us how is it to have him as a boss?Kristen Renton: Mr. Sutter is an amazing human being, and I am NOT just saying that because he is my boss. He has a dirty, twisted mind that is so beautiful, and so haunting. He is not afraid to say exactly what he is thinking, and he makes no excuses for his opinion. He stands by his actions, supports causes he believes in, and is a great friend to those he cares about. He loves his family, and would do anything for them. He looks at the cast and crew of this show as an extended family, and he treats everyone with the respect they deserve….and if he feels that you don’t deserve it, he lets you know about it! I adore him, and I think people should pay attention to his honesty; it may be harsh to listen to sometimes, but it is a much needed reality check.SOAItalia: In season 3 we saw that your character, Ima, had her way with Jax and then got the boot, do you think he (Jax) might have a relapse?Kristen Renton: God I hope Jax has a relapse!!!SOAItalia: We know your character is not an Old Lady, but we have to ask. Are you an Harley enthusiast? Do you ride?Kristen Renton: I do ride, and I love Harleys. I just bought my first bike, although it is not a Harley, I plan on getting one in the near future. There is nothing like riding a motorcycle….SOAItalia: In every show, everyone has a favorite character, excluding Ima, which is yours in SOA?Kristen Renton: I could never pick a favorite character on SOA…they are all so wonderful and amazing in their own way..SOAItalia: Which is your favorite scene from Sons of Anarchy?Kristen Renton: Favorite scene from SOA is when I get the crap beat out of me by Jax….SOAItalia: Have you ever been to Italy? And if not would you like to?Kristen Renton: It has always been a dream of mine to travel to Italy…Some day I will make that dream come true!SOAItalia: You are a regular on facebook, this way you can keep in touch with your fans, how important is your relationship with the fans?Kristen Renton: My relationship with my fans is extremely important to me. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be here. Everything we do as actors is for the fans. They have more power than they realize. I am blessed for everyone who supports and loves me, and even those who dislike or hate me. The fans make it worth all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears…SOAItalia: Would you like to say something to your Italian fans?Kristen Renton: I would just like to say THANK YOU!! Ne prendo anche molti in affido cosi’ in qualsiasi momento potrei avere altri cani e gatti in casa!SOAItalia: Nella tua carriera hai recitato in molte serie televisive, c’e’ un personaggio che ti piace piu’ degli altri? E se si, perche’?Kristen Renton: Sono tutti cosi’ diversi, non potrei mai sceglierne solo uno! Ma, se dovessi, direi IMA. E’ esuberante, prende quello che vuole e non si giustifica per questo, ed e’ sessualmente libertina….quella mentalita’ irritante e’ cosi’ remota dalla mia reale personalita’ e realta’, e’ divertente interpretare quel tipo di personaggio.SOAItalia: Come hai ottenuto il suolo di Ima in Sons of Anarchy?Kristen Renton: Ho fatto l’audizione per il ruolo di IMA in Sons of Anarchy, e fortunatamente Kurt Sutter e i produttori hanno visto Ima in me. Lo prendo come un complimento.SOAItalia: Quali sono gli aspetti di Ima che ti piacciono e quali che non ti piacciono?Kristen Renton: Non c’e’ nulla di Ima che non mi piace. E’ sgarbata, irrispettosa, zoccoletta, odiosa e in sintesi una puttana traditrice, ma e’ cio’ che la rende una tale forza della natura e cosi’ indimenticabile. O la ami o la odi, ma in entrambi i casi, lo fai con passione!!SOAItalia: Tutti i fans SOA adorano e venerano Mr Sutter, per favore raccontaci com’e’ averlo come capo?Kristen Renton: Mr Sutter e’ un essere umano straordinario, e non lo dico solamente perche’ e’ il mio capo. Ha una mente volgare e contorta che e’ cosi’ bella e cosi’ ammaliante. Non ha paura di dire esattamente cio’ che sta pensando e non chiede scusa per le sue opinioni. E’ fermo nelle sue idee, supporta le cause in cui crede, ed e’ un grande amico per le persone a cui tiene. Ama la sua famiglia e farebbe qualunque cosa per loro. Vede il suo cast e tutta la troupe cinematografica di questo show come un’estensione della sua famiglia, e tratta tutti con il rispetto che meritano…e se sente che non te lo meriti te lo fa sapere! Lo adoro, e credo che le persone dovrebbero prestare attenzione alla sua onesta’; puo’ essere duro da sentire a volte, ma e’ uno sguardo sulla realta’ necessario.SOAItalia: Nella stagione 3 abbiamo visto il tuo personaggio, Ima, fare i suoi sporchi comodi con Jax e poi l’abbiamo vista cacciata a calci, pensi che Jax possa avere una ricaduta?Kristen Renton: Dio spero che Jax abbia una ricaduta!!!SOAItalia: Sappiamo che il tuo personaggio non e’ una Old Lady, ma dobbiamo chiedertelo. Ti piacciono le Harley? Vai in moto?Kristen Renton: Si vado in moto e amo le Harley. Ho appena comprato la mia prima moto, anche se non e’ una Harley, sto pianificando una in un futuro prossimo. Non c’e’ niente come guidare una moto…SOAItalia: In ogni show, tutti hanno un personaggio preferito, a parte Ima, qual e’ il tuo in SOA?Kristen Renton: Non potrei mai scegliere un personaggio preferito in SOA…sono tutti cosi’ meravigliosi e straordinari a loro modo…SOAItalia: Qual e’ la tua scena preferita in Sons of Anarchy?Kristen Renton: La mia scena preferita di SOA e’ quando Jax mi ha spaccato la faccia…SOAItalia: Sei mai stata in Italia? E se no ti piacerebbe?Kristen Renton: E’ sempre stato uno dei miei sogni andare in Italia…Un giorno faro’ avverare quel sogno!SOAItalia: Sei molto assidua in facebook, in questo modo ti tieni in contatto con i tuoi fans, quanto e’ importante il rapporto con i fans?Kristen Renton: Il mio rapporto con i fans e’ estremamente importante per me. Se non fosse per loro io non sarei qui’. Tutto cio’ che facciamo come attori e’ per i fans. Hanno piu’ potere di quanto non realizzino. Sono grata per tutti coloro che mi amano e mi supportano, e anche per quelli a cui non piaccio o che mi odiano. I fans fanno in modo che valga la pena tutto il duro lavoro, il sangue, il sudore e le lacrime…SOAItalia: Vuoi dire qualcosa ai tuoi fans italiani?Kristen Renton: Vorrei dire GRAZIE!!
