1- You have had an acting career for over 20 years, but our research give us no information on how you started, would you like to tell us? What made you want to be an actor?
I got into acting by accident. I was a musician who did a friend a favor and filled in for him in a play in NY. – Thought I’d do it for a while. Then began to want to be good at it so I dug deeper into the craft.
2- We noticed that you were born in Scotland, but you do not sound like Tommy Flanagan, you have lost your accent, did you leave Scotland very young? Do you have any childhood memories of Scotland?
I’m a much better actor than Tommy and dropped my accent, (actually I’m not from Scotland at all. I don’t know where that rumor came from. I don’t know where ALOT of this stuff comes from!?) Tommy is a great actor.
3- On your facebook page, in a picture you are holding a saxophone, is it just a hobby or is it a career option you would like to or have taken on?
I was a professional sax player for 15 years before acting.
4- You had an important role in Deadwood, how was it to work in a period drama?
Deadwood was a geat experience. They put a lot of detail into it and it showed. I believe it will go down as one of the great shows in the history of Television.
5- In your long career you played many different characters, is there one that you liked more?
I try – and mostly do – enjoy all the charactors I play. I try not to show favorites. I try to commit to everyone of them.
6- How did you get the role as Unser in Sons of Anarchy?
I auditioned for Unser and they hired me.
7- Which are the aspects of Unser that you like and the ones you dislike? Is there something of him that you see in yourself?
I don’t judge Unser from an outside perspective.
8- In the season final NS we see that Unser might not be Chief any longer, how would you like your character to evolve?
I go where ever Kurt goes with the charactor.
9- We know your character is not a Club member, but because the series about an MC we have to ask. How is yours relationship with motorcycles? Do you ride?
I love motorcycles and yes I ride.
10- In every show, everyone has a favorite character, which is yours in SOA?
My favorite charactor is Unser.
11- Which is your favorite scene from Sons of Anarchy?
No favorite scene in particuler. Sorry.
12- Have you ever been to Italy? And if not would you like to?
been to Italy during the Vietnam war, Love to go back some day. -(you inviting me???)
13- You are a regular on facebook, this way you can keep in touch with your fans, how important is your relationship with the fans?
I try to stay in touch with people and facebook seems to be a good way to do it and still be at a safe distance (if you know what I mean)
14- Would you like to say something to your Italian fans?

Sono diventato un attore per sbaglio, ero un musicista che ha fatto un favore a un amico prendendo il suo posto ad uno spettacolo teatrale a NY – Ho pensato di farlo per un po’, poi ho iniziato a voler essere piu’ bravo mi sono buttato piu’ intensamente in quest’arte.
2- Abbiamo notato che sei nato in Scozia, ma non parli come Tommy Flanagan, hai perso il tuo accento? Hai lasciato la Scozia molto giovane? Hai ricordi della tua infanzia in Scozia?
Sono un attore molto piu’ bravo di Tommy e ho voluto perdere di proposito il mio accento, (veramente non sono affatto della Scozia, non so da dove viene questa voce, non so da dove viene un sacco di questa roba!?) Tommy e’ un grande attore.
3- Sulla tua pagina Facebook, nella foto hai in mano un sassofono, e’ solo un hobby o e’ una carriera che avresti voluto intraprendere o che hai gia’ intrapreso?
Sono stato un sassofonista professionista per 15 anni prima di diventare attore.
4- Avevi un ruolo importante in Deadwood, come e’ stato lavorare in uno show in costume?
Deadwood e’ stata un’esperienza grandiosa, sono stati molto dettagliati e si e’ visto. Credo che entrera’ nella storia come uno dei piu’ grandi show della televisione.
5- Nella tua lunga carriera hai interpretato diversi personaggi, ne esiste uno che ti e’ piaciuto di piu’?
Provo – e di solito lo faccio – a godermi tutti i personaggi che interpreto. Cerco di non avere preferenze. Cerco di impegnarmi con ognuno di loro.
6- Come hai ottenuto il ruolo di Unser in Sons of Anarchy?
Ho fatto l’audizione per Unser e mi hanno assunto.
7- Quali sono gli aspetti di Unser che ti piacciono e quali che non ti piacciono? C’e’ qualcosa di lui che vedi in te stesso?
Non giudico Unser da una prospettiva esterna.
8- Nel finale di stagione NS abbiamo visto che forse Unser non sara’ piu’ il capo della polizia, come vorresti che si evolvesse il tuo personaggio?
Andro’ dove Kurt vuole che vada il personaggio.
9- Sappiamo che il tuo personaggio non e’ membro del Club, ma dato che la serie tratta di un MC dobbiamo chiederlo, qual e’ il tuo rapporto con le moto? Vai in moto?
Amo le motociclette, e si, ci vado.
10- In ogni show tutti hanno un personaggio preferito, qual e’ il tuo in SOA?
Il mio personaggio preferito e’ Unser
11- Qual e’ la tua scena preferita in Sons of Anarchy?
Nessuna scena preferita in particolare, scusate.
12- Sei mai stato in Italia? Se non ci sei mai stato, ti piacerebbe venirci?
Sono stato in Italia durante la guerra del Vietnam, mi piacerebbe tornarci un giorno – (Mi stai invitando???)
13- Sei un utente fisso di Facebook, questo ti permette di tenerti in contatto con i fan, quanto e’ importante il tuo rapporto con loro?
Cerco di restare in contatto con le persone e Facebook sembra un buon modo per farlo rimanendo a una distanza di sicurezza (capisci cosa intendo)
14- C’e’ qualcosa che vorresti dire ai tuoi fan Italiani?
